Jeffrey Segil

JEFFREY SEGIL, MD, FACOG, MS

Dr. Segil is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his post-graduate training at University Hospitals of Cleveland where he was Executive Chief Resident. During his training Dr Segil focused on OB as well as advanced gynecologic surgery and the management of incontinence. While in training he was also the director of the Lake and Ashtabula Counties Family Planning Clinics of Ohio. Prior to Medical School Dr. Segil spent four years at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, where he was involved in molecular biology research in the field of tumor immunology. He completed his undergraduate education at Hampshire College, in Amherst Massachusetts where he concentrated in healthcare delivery systems. Dr. Segil completed his American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certification in 1999, and was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2000. He is a member of the Strafford County Medical Society, the New Hampshire Medical Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laproscopists, the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the Northeast Medical Association. Dr. Segil has been specializing in advanced incontinence surgeries and Robotic surgeries, as well as Pelvic Reconstruction. Dr Segil has spent much time in Mind Body Medicine Training and tries to incorporate his teachings into his daily medical practice. Dr. Segil has been on staff at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital since 1997. He is currently the director of the Continuing Medical Education Department, and is a member of the Integrative Medicine Committee, the Birth Committee, and is the gynecologic surgical subchair.

Dr. Segil resides In Lee with his wife and three children. He enjoys sailing and skiing with his family.

 

Anna DeYoung

ANNA DE YOUNG, MD, FACOG

Dr. DeYoung is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. She graduated with honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. While in medical school, she directed the Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention program in which hundreds of medical students visited Detroit middle schools to educate the children about substance abuse and alcoholism. She completed her internship and residency at The Ohio State University Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. DeYoung is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Medical Association, and has received training in Mind-Body Medicine at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. Her interests include all aspects of obstetrics, well-woman care and the special issues of menopause, perimenopause and PMS. She has been in private practice since 1996, first in Newburyport and now with Dover Women's Health since October of 2001. Prior to graduating from the University of Michigan, Dr. DeYoung spent a year and a half living in Stockholm, Sweden where she studied in Swedish and thoroughly enjoyed her exposure to new cultural activities.

Dr. DeYoung lives in Durham with her two lively sons. She enjoys skiing, hiking, playing hockey and running around with her incredibly fun loving kids.

 

Julie Bleyenberg

JULIE BLEYENBERG, DO

Julie Bleyenberg, DO is a graduate of Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her residence training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, where she received numerous awards for teaching, research, and laparoscopic surgery.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Bleyenberg earned a Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Iowa. She worked for three years in molecular biology research in the area of parasitology immunology at Colorado State University.

Upon completion of her medical training, Dr. Bleyenberg practiced as an attending physician at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, working as a Laborist in a high-risk obstetrics unit. Her areas of interest include maternal-fetal medicine, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and uro-gynecology.

Dr. Bleyenberg is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Bleyenberg lives in Dover with her husband, and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

 

Our Midwives

Pat Martin

PAT MARTIN, CNM, MPH

Pat Martin, CNM, MPH started out her nursing career in the United States Air Force. From there went to Westchester School of Nursing, New York. She continued coursework and received her BSN in nursing at New England College, New Hampshire. During this time Pat continued to work in her area of passion, Labor and Delivery, while supporting her patients as childbirth educator. Pat received her Master's in Public Health and completed the Certified Nurse Midwifery program from Boston University School of Public Health. Her midwifery training included clinical studies at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and St. Elizabeth Hospital in New Jersey. Before finding her way to Dover Women's Health, Pat most recently practiced midwifery at the Midwives of the Merrimack Valley in Andover, MA and Littleton Hospital, Littleton, NH. Pat is a member of ICEA, ACNM and ASPO. As a childbirth instructor, she uses the model of Centering in Pregnancy, to get as much information to her clients as possible concerning emotional, physical and pragmatic changes during and after pregnancy. Pat resides with her husband. She enjoys traveling to visit her grandchildren whenever she can. She also enjoys knitting in her spare time.

 

Cindy Beske

CINDY BESKE, CNM, MSN

Cindy is a graduate of Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her Master of Science degree in nursing. She obtained her certificate in midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY.

Prior to joining Dover Women's Health, P.A., Cindy practiced for many years at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY and in several Maine locations.

During her midwifery career, Cindy has taught in many areas including maternity nursing and physical assessment at Elmira College, clinical nursing at the University of Maine at Orono, and basic and advanced fetal monitoring for several counties. She has presented lectures in schools, to the public and at a national nurse practitioner symposium.

Prior to becoming a nurse midwife, Cindy practiced as a Registered Nurse, working primarily in labor and delivery. During this time, she taught childbirth classes. She has obtained certification in basic CPR, advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation, inpatient obstetrics, childbirth education, and midwifery.

Cindy’s interests include nutrition, complementary medicine, and compounded natural hormones.

Cindy has two grown children, Jon and Katie and a cockapoo named Daisy. She resides in Somersworth and enjoys reading, music, hiking and canoeing.

 

Elizabeth E. Schwartz

ELIZABETH E. SCHWARTZ, CNM, MSN

Elizabeth E. Schwartz CNM, MSN earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Buffalo in New York. She then proceeded to complete her graduate work at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University, where she attained her Master's of Science degree and certification in nursing-midwifery. Elizabeth began her midwifery career at a freestanding birth center in San Diego and most recently spent the past six years practicing at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego prior to relocating to Dover. Elizabeth is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and Sigma Theta Tau International nursing society. Elizabeth resides in Dover with husband and two sons.

 

Our Massage Therapists

DIANE BARRY, LMT

Diane has well over a decade of experience as a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist. She has worked with a variety of client populations at all ages and levels of health. In particular, Diane has worked extensively with pregnant women, and women who have recently given birth.

HOLLY ROCHE, BS, LMT

Holly has been a licensed massage therapist since 2002. She has a wide range of professional interests, and pursues a variety of continuing education opportunities. Recently, Holly completed a 40-hour certification in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, a course in pre- and postnatal massage.

RACHEL GRAHAM

Rachel Graham, Registered Medical Assistant graduated from McIntosh College in 1999, earning an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. Her first job as a medical assistant was in women's health care, a field in which she remains because of her enjoyment of the different areas it encompasses. She loves interacting with the patients and assisting them in any way she can.

MICHELLE HARGROVE

Michelle Hargrove, Registered Medical Assistant earned her Associate Degree in Medical Assisting at McIntosh College in 1996. Prior to her work at Dover Women' Health she worked at the Avis Goodwin Community Health Center for 5 years as a Medical Assistant, HIV and STD counselor. During that time she also served as the Medication Assistance Program Coordinator.

JOANNA HERTZLER

Joanna Hertzler, Certified Medical Assistant, has 2 associates degrees. One being in business, the other, medical assisting.

Joanna started working DWH at the front desk and enjoys working directly with patients.

ANNE TUCKER, R.N.

Anne Tucker, R.N., BS received her nursing diploma from Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA and her BS in Psychology and Sociology from New England College. Prior to joining Dover Women's Health, Anne worked for the Avis Goodwin Community Health Center managing the OB/GYN program. Anne has had over 25 years experience working in women's health. Anne has two grown children and five grandchildren. In her free time she loves rug hooking.

 

 

Our Administrative Support Staff

BETH VOCE

Beth Voce, Our practice manager, has over 20 years of experience in almost all aspects of the medical industry. She has an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting from McIntosh College, and has worked in clinical and administrative positions throughout her career. She has held positions in the medical insurance industry as a medical claims examiner, case management coordinator, and prior authorization specialist. She has worked in every aspect of the medical office from receptionist to billing manager and medical assisting. She loves the challenge of helping the practice run smoothly while continuing to grow and offer new services.

Beth recently returned to the area from Virginia Beach, VA. and resides in Rochester with her husband. She has three grown daughters and two granddaughters.
