Lisa Jaramillo-Husted, C.N.M., M.S.N.
Lisa Jaramillo-Husted, CNM, MSN earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, where she also completed her graduate studies and earned a Master's of Science in Nursing with certification in Nurse-Midwifery in 2012. She joined Dover Women’s Health in 2013. Before becoming a nurse-midwife, Lisa worked as a labor & delivery nurse for over 7 years at the University of New Mexico Hospital, a tertiary care, teaching hospital caring for both women with high-risk, complicated pregnancies as well as working along-side nurse-midwives supporting and protecting normal, low-intervention birth. In her former life, before her calling to midwifery, she worked in the music industry in Los Angeles. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and the ACNM Midwives of Color Committee.
She is passionate about caring for women and their families during pregnancy and birth. She believes in the power and strength of women! She strives to form compassionate, respectful partnerships with women to encourage active participation in their health care decisions.
Lisa grew-up in rural New Mexico and now lives in Dover, NH with her husband, children, and their bossy tuxedo cat. She loves living in the Seacoast and New England (even the winters!). She enjoys reading, music, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
