Rachel Mergen, C.N.M., M.S.N.
Rachel comes to us from Pennsylvania where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in 2007. She first worked as a Registered Nurse in Women’s Health/Oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her strong interest in midwifery soon lead her to become a labor and delivery nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Working is that busy urban hospital gave Rachel unparalleled experience with both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. In 2013, after several years of nursing experience, she earned her Master’s Degree in Midwifery and Women’s Health from the University of Pennsylvania, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a midwife.
Rachel completed a Fellowship at Valley Birthplace in Huntingdon Valley, PA where she gained additional experience in low risk pregnancy and out of hospital deliveries. She is passionate about providing holistic midwifery care and very excited to join the team at Dover Women’s Health and serve the women of the New Hampshire Seacoast area.
Rachel is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. She lives in Dover with her cat, Tucker, and she enjoys cooking, running, hiking and snowboarding.
