Julie Bleyenberg, D.O., F.A.C.O.G.
Julie Bleyenberg, DO (What is a DO?) is a graduate of Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her residence training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, where she received numerous awards for teaching, research, and laparoscopic surgery.
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Bleyenberg earned a Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Iowa. She worked for three years in molecular biology research in the area of parasitology immunology at Colorado State University.
Upon completion of her medical training, Dr. Bleyenberg practiced as an attending physician at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, working as a Laborist in a high-risk obstetrics unit. Her areas of interest include maternal-fetal medicine and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Bleyenberg is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Bleyenberg lives in Dover with her husband, furry feline children and enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and running.
