Dr. Bleyenberg helps women in Haiti!
Dr. Bleyenberg recently completed her sixth medical mission to Haiti She volunteered at a hospital in Pierre Payen, a small town located along the coast approximately 50 miles north of the capital city Port au Prince. As with many areas of Haiti, this region is quite poor with very little health care access. The hospital and clinic in Pierre Payen are supported by Project Help-Haiti and run by Haitian doctors who volunteer their time to improving the medical conditions of the people in this region (www.osapo.org) Visiting medical and surgical teams provide the necessary manpower to allow the hospital to function. The facility is rustic and supplies are limited. The team needs to be resourceful and adaptive. Dr Segil completed a similar mission last fall.
We wish to thank Dr Segil and Dr Bleyenberg for giving their time and skills in support of such a worthy causeBack to blog
